Alert: Dog Poisoning

Residents are advised to exercise extreme vigilance following reports of dogs being poisoned in the area.

Recommended Actions:

  • Inspect your back walls and property perimeters for any suspicious food or items.
  • Poisoning mostly occurs during the night. If pets sleep outside, try to arrange a secure and comfortable space indoors or in a garage to minimize exposure during the night. Alternatively, divide the backyard from the front and keep your dogs in the back so they are not easily reached by outsiders.
  • Do NOT allow dogs to eat anything off the ground.
  • If your dog exhibits symptoms such as vomiting, weakness, or seizures, seek emergency veterinary care immediately. Consult your local veterinarian regarding the possibility of keeping an emergency poisoning kit at home, which may assist your companion until you get professional help
  • Report any suspicious activity or findings.
